After Abandoning My Husband Who Couldn’t Feel Emotions

I ended up marrying Bert hyung, the one I’d had a one-sided love for since childhood.

And yet, I was not the least bit happy. Because the moment the wedding ceremony ended, I would be exiled somewhere far away.

That was my father and Bert hyung’s plan.

“But hyung — why did you decide to marry me?”

“Your father said he’d leave me his inheritance.”

“…What?”

“He promised to leave me everything if I married you.”

“From what I hear, you wanted this marriage too, so there’s no problem, is there?”

I said nothing to hyung as he spoke those cold words. Hyung couldn’t feel emotions. It would have been a waste of effort.

Bert hyung, who had been cursed from the moment of his birth, knows neither sorrow nor joy — nor love.

So instead of getting angry at him, I chose a different method.

In the middle of the wedding ceremony — at the very moment hyung would think everything was proceeding without a hitch.

I would go ahead and die.

Not actually die. I would use magic to enter another person’s body and live a new life.

And so, the body that had been walking down the aisle collapsed, and I was reborn.

“You are not dead.”

But hyung denied my death.

“If this body is just going to be burned anyway, it won’t matter if I take it.”

At my own funeral, Bert hyung said those words — and then walked out carrying my corpse.

After I died, hyung became strange.
